Our Approach

primaryTECH staff work in close collaboration with the school as part of your team. At all stages we help you achieve your objectives by offering advice, technical skills and taking the load. Throughout the process we provide mentoring of the school's own staff – via skills and knowledge transfer - to level desired by the school in order to enable the school's staff to be as self-sufficient as desired by the school.

primaryTECH augment the support provided by the LEA and by VLE product/solutions vendors (training, best practice, documentation).

VLE Project Kick Off

A streamlined approach to getting scoping the initial VLE usage within the school.

VLE QuickStart

Building on from the Project Kick Off phase the QuickStart includes several essential items to get the school staff and pupils using the VLE. This stage utilises some of the basic functionality and tools offered in the VLE in order to get the school up and running quickly.

Package includes:

5-10 days dependent on specific requirements and options.

Enhanced VLE Services

Building on the VLE QuickStart, this program is designed to enable the school to expand the use of VLE, based on the review and plan for further work. This stage utilises more of the functionality and tools offered in VLE, helping the school to chose the right mix features to attain the desired objectives.

This package is very much dependent upon the specific requirements and objectives of the school and is tailored to meet those requirements.

Typical selections include:

5-12 days dependent on specific requirements and options.

Monthly Services

A VLE is designed to allow school staff to be able to carry out routine administration tasks (e.g. new user addition, password resets, new room creation) themselves. The product/solution vendor training courses and associated documentation enables staff with appropriate ICT knowledge and time to be self-sufficient.

For schools who do not have the in-house skills or the time to carry out routine administration SMBTECH offer routine VLE Administration activities on behalf of our customers.
