Environmental Policy
Our commitment to reducing our environmental impact.
PrimaryTech is committed to reducing the environmental impact of our own operations and of the technology we supply. These commitments are mandated in our internal environmental policy (ENV-POL-001), owned by our Executive Board, reviewed annually, and maintained as part of an environmental management system aligned with ISO 14001.
Nothing to landfill
End-of-life IT equipment, ours and our clients', is never sent to landfill. Every device is evaluated for refurbishment and redeployment before disposal is authorised, and disposal is always WEEE-compliant with certified, data-secure wiping. Data-wiping certificates are retained permanently.
Cloud-first, lower carbon
Where cloud infrastructure is commercially and technically viable, we propose it as the primary option, moving workloads off energy-hungry on-premise hardware onto efficient large-scale platforms.
Longer device lifecycles
We specify hardware for its useful life, with lifecycle planning and refresh cycles that keep equipment in productive use rather than premature replacement.
Less paper, less travel
Our own managed print controls cut paper and toner waste. Support is remote-first, site visits are scheduled efficiently, and video is our default where a journey adds nothing.
Accountability
Environmental responsibility sits with our Executive Board; every member of our team is required to follow these procedures, and compliance records, including disposal logs and WEEE certificates, are maintained for every disposal we carry out.
